Dr. Herb J. Halley joined the College of Pharmacy in fall 2010, responsible for the development and management of experiential programs. In addition, he will teach pharmacy practice. Dr. Halley returns to Fort Wayne after 10 years serving as director of pharmacy for area hospitals across Indianapolis, including Wishard and Witham. Earlier in his career, he held pharmacy practice roles at Lutheran Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center and Parkview Health System in Fort Wayne. Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Halley helped implement innovative pharmacy services, including two ACPE-accredited pharmacy practice residency programs and has experience teaching and serving as a preceptor for Purdue University. Dr. Halley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy and a Pharm.D. from Purdue University.

Ahmed Abdelmageed, Pharm.D.

Dr. Ahmed Abdelmageed joined the College of Pharmacy in November 2011. He is responsible for the administration of the School’s Experiential Education program with special focus on Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) and relative areas of curricular development and instruction; program administration; preceptor and site development and recruitment; and assessment and quality assurance. In addition, he teaches within the department of pharmacy practice. Dr. Abdelmageed earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Ferris State University College of Pharmacy and most recently was founding director of experiential education at Husson University College of Pharmacy.

Jeffrey Murphy joined the College of Pharmacy in November 2011. He provides administrative support to the offices of student affairs and experiential education and to other staff and faculty as needed. Jeffrey has more than 10 years of administrative support experience and earned his Bachelor of Arts in communications from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
